Last minute Christmas Shopping tips

We all have done it at least once in our life: Last minute Christmas Shopping!

We do it one year and then promise ourselves the next year we will get all of our Christmas shopping done before December, so we wont have to deal with the huge crowds of anxious shoppers. But somewhere in the new year and the 11 months before the next Christmas season, we forget and when November comes along, we are too busy or think it is too early to start thinking about Christmas shopping.

There are some, that will never learn their lesson and their are others that once in a while get caught within the last minute blitz of Christmas shopping. The important thing to remember for everything is to stay calm! You will get through it and you can get through it without hurting anybody!

We all get so anxious and nervous when we need to get our gifts and so many other people are in our way, slowing us down, steeling the attention away from the store workers. Our nerves can easily break and we can come back home feeling worse then Scrooge.
Well here are a few tips to help the Christmas shopping go as smoothly as possible:

1. Think of your options:In this modern technological world, the internet can always be considered and option. Internet shopping, e-shopping, online-shopping, whatever you want to call it, can be your friend! You can browse through millions of articles in the comfort of your own home. Internet shopping (e-shopping or online shopping) lets you avoid the crowds, plus it gives you a wider variety of things to choose from. Furthermore, for those last minute e-shoppers you can always pay the little extra shipping and handling fee to make sure your gifts are in for Christmas. If your budget allows it, online shopping (e-shopping or internet shopping) might be your best bet. You wont deal with the crowds and you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety and wont have to here “sorry sir/miss we are all out of this item”. Online shopping is a great solution for the shopping procrastinator in all of us.
2. Decide a head of time: For those of us who cannot always rely on online shopping and forced to face the Christmas mobs, knowing what you are buying ahead of time can save you many troubles. Before stepping out of your house, you should know already what you want to buy. This will minimize your time walking around aimlessly in the stores. Plus if you grab the attention of a store worker, just tell him/her what you want, he/she will get it, and you will already be off to the counter to pay. Minimizing the amount of time you spend in a store is always a great tactic.
3. Window/magazine shop ahead of time: We are often not happy with the gifts we give because we think they lack originality. Often this is because we don’t have enough time to think of ideas. Without shopping in November, you can always start gathering ideas early on. At each time you pass by a store window or look through a magazine, you can spot ideas for the various people in your life and it is important to take a mental note. Remember, Remember, remember! Important people deserve special gifts!

The most important part is to be prepared! You can procrastinate all you want, but if your prepared, the shopping will go much more smoothly.
